Purpose of Role

  • Contribute to the development & implementation of the Product Strategy as it relates to Mobile product lines in the UK
  • Develop, maintain and manage Personal Development Plans as guided by line manager
  • Communicate and live the priorities of the Mobile product line, translating the vision and purpose of Mobile into actionable product plans

Key Objectives

Product Strategy

  • Manage the Product Roadmap of the Mobile category  in collaboration with Category Product Manager
  • Provide scenario planning to the Category Product Manager
  • Provide information that will guide channelisation, product lifecycle management and investment decisions in the Mobile category

Measured by:

    • Timeliness of information
    • Usability of information

Market Strategy

  • Work with the category management and brand teams to ensure that consumer targets and activity are aligned
  • Provide information that allows the Category Product Manager to determine the £RRP of the Mobile product lines
  • Ensure that segmentation is effective for Mobile products in the UK
  • Liaise with Market analysts to ensure that Category PM has a full understanding of the UK market
  • Provide recommendations on a monthly promotional plan that will guide the commercial teams priorities in terms of sell-in
  • Review and react to competitor strategy, communicating insights and actions to both UK and Korean HQ

Measured by:

    • Implementation and profitability of the promotional plan
    • Market share of categories managed provided by GFK 

Proposition

  • Work with the Supply Chain Management, Finance, Marketing and Commercial teams to develop an overall Mobile Value proposition in collaboration with the Category Product Manager

Forecasting

  • Develop & manage a forecasting template that will assist in forecast setting across the business

Measured by:

    • Forecast accuracy by quarter and year 

Launch

  • Contribute to the development of the launch plan for new product
  • Manage the critical path that guides concept to launch process for IM product management

    • Contribution

Essential Hard Skills Required

  • Minimum of 1 year Product Management experience in related industries
  • Proposition development & execution experience
  • Product Lifecycle management experience with technical aptitude
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Good skills in Microsoft office packages
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong numeracy/commercial acumen
  • Experience managing P&L, delivering profitability with low margins
